Literature Discussions and Creative Writing Workshops in Newark

PART OF THE DELAWARE HUMANITIES FORUM’S PULITZER PRIZE CENTENNIAL CAMPFIRE INITIATIVES

Sessions will run August through November at the University of Delaware’s English Department
Memorial Hall (170 The Green, Newark, DE) in the 3rd Floor Lounge
Select Tuesdays (below) at 6 PM

Literature Discussions:

August 30:         Between Riverside and Crazy by Stephen Adly Guirgis
September 27:  Margaret Fuller: A New American Life by Megan Marshall
October 25:       Digest by Gregory Pardlo
November 29:    Lovely, Dark, Deep by Joyce Carol Oates

Books for the literature discussions can be picked up at the Reference Desk of the Newark Free Library.

Creative Writing Workshops:

September 20:   Introduction to Creative Writing
October 18:        How to Produce a Creative Work
November 15:    How to Get Published

These sessions are free and open to the public–attend any or all!!  All sessions will be facilitated by author and professor Dr. Myrna Nurse.

PARKING INFORMATION

Parking will be validated for attendees who park in Lot 41 (190 S College Avenue, Newark, DE).  We can not validate parking anywhere else on campus.
