On Monday, May 1, 2017 the National Endowment for the Humanities hosted at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts its 46th Jefferson Lecture in the Humanities.
The 2017 lecturer was Martha C. Naussbaum, Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. Her areas of focus range from gender equality to political theory to ancient Greek philosophy.
Her lecture, which can viewed online in its entirety, is entitled “Powerlessness and the Politics of Blame”.
