Donna Aviles, a resident of Pike Creek, Delaware, is the award-winning author of two books, Orphan Train To Kansas and Peanut Butter For Cupcakes – A True Story From The Great Depression. Both books are narrative non-fiction, taking place during important periods of American history. As a descendant of an orphan train rider, as well as a member of the National Orphan Train Historical Society of America, Ms. Aviles has extensive knowledge of the Orphan Train Era and is passionate about sharing her expertise with audiences of all ages.
