Nancy B. Lynch
Nancy B. Lynch served as Drama Teacher at Ursuline Academy for 15 years, directing over 25 major productions and countless classroom and holiday productions. Among these were The Sound of Music, Antigone, Little Women, A Little Shop of Horrors, Godspell, How To Eat Like a Child, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She wrote and produced plays based on Aesop’s fables, American folk tales and the poetry and music of Shel Silverstein and taught Upper School Art and Music Awareness and Middle School American Art History.
Nancy has taught creative dramatics and mime for many education and recreation programs, toured her solo mime show, and directed for the Wilmington Drama League Chrysalis Players. She has appeared in and directed for the Delaware Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights Festival and led playwriting and theatre activities for the Delaware Theatre Company’s programs for children at risk and Senior Playwriting program. She has served on the boards of the Delaware Valley Filmmaking Foundation and the Delaware Theatre Company and is President of the board of Delaware Shakespeare. She holds a B.A. in theatre from the Notre Dame-St. Mary’s College Cooperative Department of Speech and Drama, was a Theatre Fellow at the University of Delaware and studied Mime at the Valley Studio of the Wisconsin Mime Theatre.
